Shirley Walker Triplett

Mrs. Shirley Walker Triplett, age 73, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.  Mrs. Triplett was born July 8, 1944 in Wilkes County.

Mrs. Triplett was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was a member of Ronda Baptist Tabernacle.

Mrs. Triplett was preceded in death by her mother, Callie Brooks; husband, Jesse Lee Triplett; son, Jesse Link Triplett; and step-daughter, Betty Triplett.

Survivors include: two sons, Johnny Triplett of Ronda; and Jackie Triplett and wife Melissa of Hamptonville; five daughters, Patricia Luffman and husband Steve of Ronda; Joyce Triplett (Cary Ward) of Ronda; Shirley Harris and husband Jimmy of Ronda; Brenda Hunter (Sandy Hodges) of State Road; and Shirley Nicole Burckhalter of Ronda; three brothers, William Brooks of Atlanta, GA; Clyde Brooks of Hays; Pete Brooks of Hays; sister, Ellen Brown of Hays; 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service for Mrs. Triplett will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Ronda Cemetery with Rev. Steve Barbour officiating.  Burial will follow at Ronda Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
