Christopher James Culler

Mr. Christopher James Culler, age 34, passed away Friday, July 7, 2017.  Mr. Culler was born February 18, 1983 in Surry County to James David and Dana Hinshaw Culler.

Christopher was a medic in the United States Army where he received the certified combat lifesaver award and was a certified vocational rehabilitation specialist in Asheville. He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and attended Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kernersville.

Christopher was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jay Culler.

Survivors include: wife, Rocio Cid Culler, of the home; daughter, Evelyn Marie Culler of the home; mother, Dana Hinshaw Culler of Elkin; father, David Culler of N. Wilkesboro;  brother, Seth Culler of N. Wilkesboro; sister, Sydney Culler of N. Wilkesboro; maternal grandparents, Hattie and Charlie Walls of Elkin; paternal grandmother, Barbara Culler of Millers Creek; two aunts, Teresa Hinshaw Jasper of Dunedin,Florida, Regina Culler Hart of Millers Creek; two uncles, Charles Hinshaw of N. Wilkesboro, Ryan Hinshaw of Elkin;  and several cousins.

A time to remember Chris will be held, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Rex Walker officiating.
