Margaret Smoot

Mrs. Margaret Lounsy McCann Smoot, age 82, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home.  Mrs. Smoot was born March 4, 1935 in Wilkes County to Otto and Mamie Laster McCann.

Mrs. Smoot retired from Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Charity United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Sebon Smoot and four sons, Randall Smoot, Bobby Smoot, Edward Smoot and Howard Smoot.

Survivors include, a brother, Odell McCann and wife Nancy of Jonesville, six grandchildren.

A memorial service for Mrs. Smoot will be held at a later date.
