James Blake Caudill

Mr. James Blake Caudill, age 88, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Caudill was born October 21, 1927 in Wilkes County to James Weaver and Ida Mathis Caudill.
Mr. Caudill was a graduate of Clemson University and N.C. State University and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired Agronomist for Exxon-Mobile. Mr. Caudill was a member of Chapel in the Pines in West End, NC and a member of Elberta Lodge #654 AF&AM in West End, NC.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a special cousin, Jim Weaver.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary M. Caudill of the home; sons, James B. “Rocky” Caudill, Jr. and wife Vickie of Elkin, Rob Caudill of Myrtle Beach, SC and Russell Caudill and wife Meredith of Nashville, TN; brother, William Jake Caudill and wife Margaret of Laurinburg; grandchildren, Jason Caudill and wife Janelle, Carol Carter and husband Craig, Evan Caudill, Blake Caudill, Russlyn Gessel and husband Andy, Rachel Brinley and husband Sean and Noah Caudill; step-grandson, Ricky Holsclaw; great-grandchildren, Laney Carter and Cannon Gessel and  nephew, Billy Caudill and wife Anne of Laurinburg.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Lucrecia “Crissy” Norman officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
