Mr. Bruce Ray Colbert, age 48, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015. Mr. Colbert was born October 23, 1967 in Surry County to Fred Ray and Blanche Durham Colbert. Survivors include: his son, Traeson Ray Colbert; brothers, Bobby Joe Colbert and wife Kathy of Traphill and Gary Dale Colbert of N. Wilkesboro and sister, Cindy Colbert of Elkin. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Welborn and Rev. Danny Bauguess officiating. Burial will follow at Knobbs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests memorials be made to Traeson Colbert c/o SECU P.O. Box 346 Elkin, NC 28621 to establish a memorial fund.
