Albert Snarr

Albert F. Snarr, born July 27, 1952, passed away peacefully at his home on September 2, 2026 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Chester, PA and resided in Norwood, Essington and Trainer, PA before relocating to North Carolina 25+ years ago. He worked as a drywall finisher, painter, roofer and handyman.

He enjoyed ALL THINGS Elvis, building model cars, being outside on his porch swing and watching Barnwood Builders and cartoons. But his absolute favorite thing was spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved seeing and talking to his children and grandchildren and hearing their giggles and laughter. . . . and being called Paw Paw.

Son of the late Otis and Mary Rea Snarr II.

Brother of the late William Snarr, Otis "Lee" Snarr III and Sue Meeks.

Grandfather of the late Jaxson Kai Romero.

He shared his life with his long-time partner Judy Reedy (mother of Dusty Simons) of Traphill, NC. He is also survived by wife Marian (Millard) Snarr of Millsboro, DE with whom they share one daughter together ((Ashley (Snarr) Romero)).

Survived by Children: Ashley (Snarr) Romero (Juan) of Trainer, PA and her mother ((Marian (Millard) Snarr of Millsboro, DE)); Albert Strantzalis and his mother ((Patricia (Rooney) Strantzalis)) both of Delaware County, PA. Grandchildren: Twins Juan Romero and Jase Romero, Jane Romero, Jocelyn Romero, Dallas Strantzalis, Phillip Strantzalis and Austin Strantzalis.

Brothers: Ron Snarr, Joseph Snarr, Dennis "Dodie" Snarr and Kenny Snarr.

Sisters: Cheryl (Snarr) Carter, Debra Lewis, Diane Gouge and Linda Pierce.

Best friend who gave him the name “Pops”, Billy “Junior” Anderson of Traphill, NC.

Also survived by many friends, nieces and nephews.

In honoring his last wishes, he is being cremated and there will be no viewing or funeral service. His daughter, Ashley, will be having a Memorial/Celebration of Life Service in Trainer, PA in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to The American Cancer Society.
