Allan Dietz

Mr. Allan Clifford Dietz, age 88, of State Road, passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Dietz was born January 23, 1937, in Winston-Salem, to Albert C. and Mary Elizabeth Holleman Dietz.

Mr. Dietz was a graduate of North Carolina State University and owned and operated Dietz Construction Company. He attended Flat Rock Baptist Church when he was able. Mr. Dietz enjoyed woodworking, but most of all spending time with his late wife, Arlene.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Wood Dietz; a son, Wesley Dietz; a brother, Owen Roger; and sisters, Mildred Young and Lorene Jones.

Survivors include his son, Gary Dietz, and wife Nisal of Rocky Mount; daughters, Paula Cooke and fiancé Amby Flores of Hamptonville; Denise Surber of Greensboro, and Mary Dietz of Greensboro; brother, Lee Dietz, and wife Carolyn of Welcome; and several grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 1:00 pm at Flat Rock Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00-1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by Yadkin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10346

Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church, 3800 Flat Rock Church Rd. Hamptonville, NC 27020.
