Mrs. Alma Sneed Martin, age 85, of Ronda, passed away at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born in Surry County on June 28, 1940, she was the daughter of Earl and Nellie Martin Sneed.

A devoted member of Flynt Hill Baptist Church, Mrs. Martin was known for her steadfast faith and positive outlook throughout life's challenges. She enjoyed playing Bingo, online shopping, and cooking, and was always willing to offer kind, encouraging words and assistance to others. Her family remained at the center of her affections.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Lee Martin; sisters, Margaret Jane Parks and Susie Kathleen Greene; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Carol Sparks, Betty Blackburn, and husband Marvin, and Johnny Callaway.

She is survived by her daughters, Sherri Martin of Rock Creek and Melissa Collins (husband Randy) of Spartanburg, SC; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Faye Sparks (husband Donald) of Boomer, Jenny Lyles (husband Wayne) of State Road, and Judy Callaway of Statesville; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a cherished family friend, Susie Kemp of North Wilkesboro.

A graveside service will be held on Monday at 2:00 p.m. December 22, 2025, at Ronda Cemetery, with Casey Long serving as special speaker.
