Betty Shepherd Davidson

Betty Sue Shepherd Davidson, 92, of Fuquay‑Varina and formerly of Elkin, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Windsor Point Continuing Care. She was born on February 10, 1934, to the late Lyman Cornelious Shepherd and Noma Myers Shepherd.

Betty Sue was co‑owner of Bill Davidson Chevrolet and devoted many years to serving her community. She was a dedicated church treasurer, a 4‑H leader, a Weight Watchers instructor, and she managed her family’s rental properties with care and diligence. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling, and she will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her kindness, and the joy she found in simple, meaningful moments.

She is survived by two sons, Carlton Davidson and wife Nancy of Marion, NC, and Kevin Pardue and wife Terri of Apex, NC; a daughter, Tina; a sister, Lois Anne Heller of Chapel Hill; twelve grandchildren; Josh, Ashley, Tara, Jayme, Shannon, Megan, Heather, Jeremy, T.J., Jennifer, Jamie, and Caleb. Nineteen great‑grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy Pardue, and her second husband, Bill Davidson; two sons, Gary Daniel Pardue and William Daryl Davidson; and a brother, Billy Edwin Shepherd.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with her son, Rev. Carlton Davidson, officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
