Bobby Lee Ford

Bobby Lee Ford, age 85 of Elkin, passed away January 19, 2026, at Novant Health following a brief illness.

Bobby was born June 1, 1940, in Yadkin County to Clarence and Sudie Macemore Ford. After graduating from Jonesville High School, he was employed by Siemens Westinghouse, where he worked until his retirement. Bobby was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church.

His greatest joy was in the presence of his family, especially his grandchildren. Bobby loved classic cars, working on his restored 1940 Ford Sedan, and being outside, making sure his yard was perfectly manicured.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vonda Ford Reece.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 61 years, Tommie Ford, a daughter, Abby Ford O’Donnell (Sean) of Cornelius, and grandchildren Hogan O’Donnell of Raleigh, Sullivan O’Donnell of Wilmington, and Riley O’Donnell of Cornelius, brothers Bill Ford (Judy) and Donnie Ford (Debbie), both of Jonesville, brothers-in-law Sandy Poplin (Rosann) of Ronda, Jeff Poplin (Beth) of Elkin and a special nephew Billy Kern Reece (Angela) of Clemmons as well as many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 3345 Fall Creek Church Road, Jonesville, NC 28642

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Fall Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service.
