Christie Anna Harrison

Christie Anna Harrison , 58, of State Road, NC, passed away on July 7, 2026.

Born on January 31, 1968, in Munich, Germany, Christie was the beloved daughter of Steve and Vickie Wells, devoted mother to Grace Harrison, and a loving sister and aunt.

Christie will be remembered for her kindness, her sense of humor, her unforgettable snort, her love of cats, and especially her affinity for TikTok and dad jokes. She spent much of her life working as a special education school teacher at Yadkinville Elementary School, where she was dedicated to loving “her kids” and supporting her fellow teachers and staff.

She is survived by her parents, Steve and Vickie Wells; her daughter, Grace Harrison; her brother, Chad Harrison; her sisters, Shannon Wells-Mongiovi, Meg Lauber-DeLuca; her sister-in-law, Christy Harrison; and her nieces, Aleta and Amelia Harrison.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 25th, at 1:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Elkin, NC. A reception will be held in the fellowship hall immediately following the memorial service.

Those who knew Christie will never forget her special snort while laughing at her own performance of dad jokes; her loud chuckle could be heard from miles away. She had a servant’s heart, often pouring herself into selling Girl Scout cookies and helping friends raise money. Vic and Tara held a very special place in her life. Her love will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.

Christie, loving mom to many cats, made her love known through both her actions and her words. She cherished her church family and her community. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
