Colin Frederick Connon, age 83,  of Jonesville, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025, at Forsyth Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 25, 1942, to Colin and Norma Jean Hunter Connon.

Colin worked for many years as a Paver Operator for Carl and Rose & Sons, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran, a service he carried with honor throughout his life.

Colin enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him joy, watching Atlanta Braves baseball games, cheering on the Carolina Panthers, spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren, and relaxing, drinking his blues.” His easygoing nature and love of good company made him a favorite among those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Colin was preceded in death by his son, Colin Laau; his sister, Connie Pregizer; and his beloved fur companion, Jazzie Mae.

He is survived by his daughters, Tonya Richardson of Jonesville, Lisa Wood (Danny) of Boonville, and Coleen Kennedy of Mt. Airy. His stepdaughter, Tammy Sauls (Donnie) of Kernersville, and his stepson, Ronnie Reynolds of North Wilkesboro, also survive him. His grandchildren, Hunter Richardson, Jacob Richardson, Angie Swift (Corey), and great-grandchild, Harper Swift, brought him great pride and joy. Colin also leaves behind his loyal canine companion, Tater Mae.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
