Dale Reece Gilliam

Dale Reece Gilliam, age 67, of Elkin, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. He was born in Surry County on November 13, 1958, to D.R. and Betty Lou Sanborn Gilliam.

Dale enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and Oak Island, and loved spending time at the beach.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Gilliam.

He is survived by his sons, Kye Gilliam and wife Tiffany and Jared Gilliam and wife Breanna; daughters, Erica Wagoner and husband Josh and Shannon Gilliam; brother, Donnie Gilliam and wife Wanda; sister, Beth Walters and husband Scott; and grandchildren, Cheyanne Johnson, Arden Wagoner, Curan Wagoner, Tyriek Mitchell, Abriana Mitchell, Sybil Cockerham, Declan Adams, and Ozzy Gilliam.

All services will be private.
