Danny Jack Brooks, age 80, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories, a legacy of faith, kindness, and love, and a family who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Danny proudly served his country in the United States Army, an honorable chapter of his life that reflected his dedication and commitment to service. A hardworking and determined man, Danny spent many years as the owner and operator of Brooks Trucking, moving mobile homes.
A man of strong Christian faith, Danny placed his trust in the Lord and the promises of His Word. He was a faithful worker in the church, dedicating his time and efforts to serving the Lord and helping others. His commitment to his church reflected his love for God and his willingness to serve wherever he was needed. His faith was not simply something he professed, but something he demonstrated through his actions, kindness, and devotion to others.
Danny had a heart for people and was the kind of man who would do anything for anybody, never hesitating to lend a helping hand. He treated everyone he met with kindness and respect, leaving a lasting impression on the lives he touched.
Danny was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Betty Brooks, with whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage. They built a life filled with love, family, and countless cherished memories. Their marriage was a testament to a lifetime of love, devotion, and commitment.
As a father, Danny’s love for his daughter, Belinda, was a treasured part of his life. He was a steady and loving presence, offering the kind of care, encouragement, and support that only a devoted dad can give. He was incredibly proud of his daughter and the woman she had become. His love was shown not only through words, but through the countless ways he was there for her throughout the years. The bond between a dad and daughter is one that time and distance can never erase, and the love and memories they shared will remain. Though she must now walk through life without his physical presence, the love of her dad will forever remain a part of who she is.
Danny was also an especially cherished grandfather and proud great-grandfather. He was the kind of grandfather whose love was not only spoken but shown through his constant presence. He was always there, offering his time, his love, and the comfort of simply being near. He took great pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and nothing brought him greater joy than seeing his family grow and celebrating the lives of those he loved. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were blessed to have him in their lives. The memories made together and the unconditional love he gave will forever be among their greatest treasures.
Danny also found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He dearly loved his dog, Ellie, enjoyed riding four-wheelers, working in his garden and sharing it with others, and treasured the peaceful moments spent sitting on his front porch. Whether enjoying the outdoors or simply taking in the day from his porch, he appreciated the little things that made life special.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Brooks; his daughter and son-in-law, Belinda & Keith Wood. His grandson, Justin Wood, and his wife, Kendall; his granddaughter, Courtney Wood. His great-grandchildren, Walker & Lincoln. Brother, Mickey Brooks and Sister-in-law Pat. Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Brenda & Hal Bellomy. Sister-in-law, Judy Francis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sebert and Fern Brooks; his two sisters, Barbra Combs and Brenda Barker; his twin brother, Lanny Brooks; and his brother, Tom Brooks.
Though his passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fill, Danny’s legacy will continue through the family he loved so dearly and the many lives he touched through his generosity and kindness. His steady presence, unwavering love, and willingness to help anyone in need will never be forgotten.
His family finds comfort in knowing that his earthly journey has ended and that he now rests in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. While they will deeply miss his presence here on earth, they hold tightly to the promise of eternal life and the hope of a joyful reunion in Heaven.
