David Samuel Billings

David Samuel Billings, age 83 of Hamptonville passed away Wednesday, April 09, 2025, at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville.

David was born November 29, 1941, in Surry County to Zeno and Myrtle Vestal Billings.

David was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his church family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kate Billings, his son, Todd Billings, sisters and brothers-in-law; JoAnn and husband Virgil Wagoner, Jeanette and husband Frank Yarboro, his brother and sister-in-law, Kelly and wife, Libby.

Survivors include his brothers, Jim Billings and wife Carol of Elkin and Dickie Billings and wife Kathy of Elkin, his granddaughter, Samantha Harrison and his great-granddaughters, Sabrina Harrison and Audrey Harrison.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Jonesville First Baptist Church with Pastor Roger Hensley officiating. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
