Deborah Ann "Debbie" Carter

Mrs. Deborah (Debbie) Ann Williams Carter, age 71, wife of Lanny for 32 years, died Monday, February 19, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.  She was born October 10, 1951 in Elkin, North Carolina to Charlie and Dot Williams.  She was a self-employed house painter, lover of all things in nature, and loved helping her community. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lanny Edward Carter.

Surviving include:  children Starr & husband Michael Burchette of Easley, SC; Kristy Guyer of Elkin, NC; Missy Stokes of Yadkinville, NC; and son Roger Guyer of State Road, NC.; sisters Beverly Williams of Lewisville, NC; Gerry & husband Harrold Tharrington of State Road, NC; and her brother Steve & wife Jessie Anne Williams of Wilmington, multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. special dog “Cooper”.
