Dorothy Elizabeth Patterson

Mrs. Dorothy Elizabeth Mann Patterson, age 93, passed away Monday, June 8, 2026. Dorothy was born October 19, 1932 in Yadkin County to Paul Franklin and Martha Vestal Mann. Dorothy was a member of Arlington First Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School and Mitchell Junior College. Dorothy retired from Brendle's Corporate Office and later enjoyed employment with Phillips-Van Heusen.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Patterson and brothers, David Mann and Donald Mann.

Survivors include her son, Terry Patterson and wife Julia of Hays; daughter, Paula P. Jones and husband Charlie of Charlotte, son Frank Patterson and wife Donna of Yadkinville, grandchildren; Jessica P. McLean and husband Kyle of Clemson, S.C., Emily P. Wing and husband Brian of Clemson, S. C., Luke Patterson of State Road, Rebecca Jones of Charlotte and Daniel Patterson of Yadkinville; her great granddaughter Molly McLean of Clemson, S.C.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Matty Ponce-de-Leon officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-11:30 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Arlington First Baptist Church Cemetery.
