Edna Jane Bauguess Brown

Edna Jane Bauguess Brown, age 86 of Traphill, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at her home. She was born on July 27, 1940, to Theodore and Dossie Jane Casey Bauguess.

Mrs. Brown enjoyed baking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Albert Brown, her son Darrell Brown and two brothers, Leon Bauguess and Lester Bauguess.

Survivors include: her brothers, Ted Bauguess Jr. and wife JoAnn of Elkin, Steven Bauguess and wife Pat of Elkin, Tommy Bauguess of Elkin, and Tony Bauguess and wife Joyce of Elkin; sister Barbara Ann Norman and husband Bobby of Thurmond; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday , September 28, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Bauguess Family Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Combs officiating.

The family would like to thank Mountain Valley Hospice, Dr. Peterson and wife Gina, and Shirley Grubbs.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 401 Technology Lane, Mt. Airy NC, 27030.
