Elizabeth Faye Hutchinson

Faye Royall Hutchinson, age 82, of Traphill, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Atrium Health Pineville Hospital in Charlotte. Faye was born in Alleghany County on June 19, 1942, to Kelly Edward Royall and Blanche Edwards Royall.

Faye was a member of Elk Spur Baptist Church and a charter and faithful board member of the Traphill Fire Department. She also enjoyed gardening, volunteering, and traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Hutchinson, and son, Keith Ryan Hutchinson.

She is survived by her son Bradley Hutchinson of Lincolnton; brother Kelly E. Royall Jr., and wife Jennifer of Millers Creek; nephew Sean Royall and wife Natalie; nieces Ashley Royall, Shannon Murray and husband Chris; four great-nephews; special friends, Rex Barker, Judy Holbrook, Gabi Robison, Jimmy Reavis, Sidney and Earlene McGrady, Russell and Shirley Sidden, Robin and Junior Kennedy, and her special dog, Murphy.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Old Roaring River Baptist Church, with Rev. Larry Andrews officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. before the service.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in memory of Faye to the Traphill Fire Department, 8899 Traphill Road, Traphill, N.C. 28685.
