Mr. Gerald “Bud” Grady Prevette, age 85, passed away on Monday December 29, 2025 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.

Mr. Prevette was born on December 10, 1940 in Yadkin County to Grable and Martha Ledbetter Prevette.

Mr. Prevette was a veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed collecting and gardening. He was a dedicated member of Grace Full Gospel Church.

Mr. Prevette was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Joe Prevette and Warren Prevette, and sisters; Faye Kimmer, Barbara Prevette, and Peggy Prevette.

Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne Marie Benavidez and husband Oscar of Vacaville, CA and grandchildren; Marissa and Amanda Weiss.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Bobby Prevette officiating. Inurnment will follow at Sunrise Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by Yadkin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10346.

Flowers will be accepted. The family would like to thank Bobby and Nancy Prevette, Tom and Patty Simmons, Sunnie and Carrie Prevette, and Larry and Sherry Powell for their care and support.
