Glenda Combs Narez

Glenda Denise Combs Narez, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, at Wilkesboro Health and Rehabilitation in North Wilkesboro, NC, at the age of 59. Born on September 17, 1966, in Elkin, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Clay Combs and Sylvia Lucille Waddell Combs.

Glenda dedicated her life to caring for others as a Certified Nursing Assistant, leaving a lasting impact on those she served through her compassion and kindness. Her greatest joy, however, came from the time spent with her family and friends, whom she cherished deeply.

A woman of faith, Glenda was an active member of the Ronda Church of God until her health no longer permitted her attendance. Her spiritual strength and unwavering dedication to her loved ones were evident throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Sylvia Combs; her brothers, Dale and Danny Combs; her sister, Brenda Bauguess; and her sisters-in-law, Diane, Carol, Debbie, and Billie Jo Combs.

Glenda leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Guillermo "Willie" Narez Hurtado; her son, Robert Narez; her daughters, Kim Jimenez (Emeterio Meza) and Jessica Agua-Hedionda (Jeremy Santos); her brothers, Darryl Combs (Carolyn), Michael Combs, and Donald Combs; her sister, Janice Combs; and her brother-in-law, Steven Bauguess. She was also a proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Wednesday, December 10th, 2025, beginning at 3:00 PM at the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM, celebrating Glenda's life and legacy.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and staff at Wilkesboro Health and Rehabilitation for the compassionate care they provided.

Glenda Denise Combs Narez will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her dedication to her family, and her unwavering faith. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
