Glenn Dale Money

Mr. Glenn Dale Money, age 74, of Elkin passed away Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 at Forsyth Medical Center. Dale was born April 15, 1951 in Surry County to Richard Glenn Money and Florence Darnell Money.

Dale retired from Wachovia Bank in 2007 after a 28 year career in Banking Security. In life, Dale was a passionate fisherman, enjoyed traveling, and spending time with his friends and family. Dale had an extraordinary ability to make a stranger feel like an old friend within minutes, and for him, there truly were no strangers—just people he hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting yet.

In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Reavis Money, his sister Rebecaa (Becky) Sparks, and his nephews Josh Sparks and Mark Brown.

Survivors include: daughter, Misty Ball and husband Marty (Jonesville); son, Rick Money and wife Carmen (Kannapolis); brother, Randall Money and wife Kim; sisters Tammie Money and Loretta Sparks and husband Ronnie; brother-in-law, Thomas Sparks; sisters-in-law, Earline Evans and Judy Podulka; grandchildren, Connor Ball and Brayden Ball, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the Novant Health Cardiac Critical Care Unit and the home healthcare providers for their compassion and care.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening, August 15th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital.
