Hardin "Aldean" Wilson

Aldean Wilson , age 81 , passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026 , at his residence in Austin.

Aldean was born July 18th, 1944 , in Wilkes County to Hardin and Effie Wilson .

Aldean was known as a friendly out going person who loved gardening tomatoes and giving them away, card games, showing up the younger men with his broom handle challenge and playing golf. He took his passion of playing golf to the next level when he built Country Side Golf Course in Austin. But most of all he loved his wife, and family.

In addition to his parents Hardin was preceded in death by his sister Colleen Wilson.

Survivors include: his wife of 58 years, Wanda Wilson of the home; son Michael Wilson of Yadkinville, a daughter Renee Collins and husband Ben of Raleigh; five grandchildren, Justin Collins and wife Caroline, Brooklyn Collins, Christina Wilson, Alex Kitts, and Jocelynne Wilson; and two great grandchildren, Callie Collins and Wesley Collins

A memorial service will be conducted at Knobbs Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026 with Rev. David Spicer officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
