Infant Silas James Wood

Infant Silas James Wood passed away Friday, September 4, 2026, at Novant Health Forsyth Hospital.

Silas is the son of Rev. Joe and Annika Winebarger Wood.

Silas was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmothers, Ann Brown and Linda Winebarger. His paternal great grandparents, Rev. Kenneth & Jean Wood and David and Wilma Smith and a great uncle, Chad Winebarger.

Survivors include, His parents Rev. Joe and Annika Wood of the home, maternal grandparents, Scott and Annette Winebarger, paternal grandparents, Rev. Kenny and Debbie Wood, maternal great grandfathers, Less Brown and William Winebarger, maternal great grandmother, Pam Cox, and Silas' canine brother, Bogey.

All services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to The Hill Project, 593 Pleasant Hill Drive Elkin, NC 28621.

Joe and Annika would like to extend a special thanks to Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Labor and Delivery for the loving care given to Silas and Annika. They would also like to thank all their many friends and church family of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church for the calls, prayers and expressions of love.
