James Winfrey Holbrook
March 23, 1929 — May 18, 2020
Mr. James Winfrey Holbrook, age 91, of Traphill passed away Monday, May 18, 2020 at Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born March 23, 1929 in Sunburst, Montana to Manley and Kern Finke Holbrook.
Mr. Holbrook was a United States Army veteran and member of Round Hill Baptist Church. He was the former owner of Holbrook Motel in Wilkesboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Castevens Holbrook; son, Ralph Samuel Holbrook; brother, John Patrick Holbrook; half-brother, Everett Anderson; and half-sister, Ellen Anderson.
Survivors include: daughter-in-law, Karen Holbrook; granddaughter, Christian Brown and husband Stephen; and great-grandson, Grayson Tyler Brown.
A private graveside service will be conducted at Round Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Travis Brown officiating.
