Keith Money

Mr. James Keith Money, age 66, of Mt. Airy passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his residence. He was born December, 28, 1954 in Surry County to Arlen and Vadie Luffman Money.

Mr. Money was a graduate of Wingate University with a degree in philosophy and religious studies. He also attended Montreat College. He was currently retired, but served as executive consultant for Haven’s Way, a not for profit organization based in Texas. Keith considered his greatest achievements to be his faith in God, and his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Al Money.

Survivors include: daughters, Janey Bartenhagen and husband Matt of Williston, N.D., Ashley Hamby and husband Brent of Mr. Airy; sisters, Judy Walker and husband Bill of Elkin, Shelby Pettyjohn and husband Crawford of East Bend; special nephew, Rex Walker and wife Crystal of Elkin; grandson, Ben Bartenhagen; three nieces; and three great nephews, Ras, Charles, and Hardin.

A graveside service, celebrating his life, will be held Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 11:00 am at Little Elkin Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Rex Walker officiating.
