Janis Jordan Osborne

Janis Jordan Osborne, age 74, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2026 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Janis was born on November 12, 1951, to Harley and Betty Wood Jordan.

Janis worked for many years at Brendle’s, Yadkin Valley Bank, and as a Caretaker at Parkwood Place in Elkin.

In addition to her parents, Janis was preceded in death by her beloved four-legged canine baby, Becca.

Survivors include: her husband Charles Osborne Jr. of the home; her twin sister Annis Hampton and husband Terry; nieces Kristy Sidden and husband Greg , Jill O’Toole and husband Christopher; sister-in-law Frances Nelson, special neighbors, Jake, Ashley and Cooper Billings, her special puppy, Millie, and several other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Dr. Danny Dodds and Rev. Joe Wood officiating.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service at Elkin Funeral Service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice at 401 Technology Lane, Mt. Airy NC, 27030.

The family would like to thank Novant Forsyth Hospital Neuroscience ICU and Palliative Care for the love and wonderful care given to Janis.
