Joyce Ann Rice

Joyce Ann Rice, 81, of Jonesville, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

Born February 20, 1945, in Kanawha County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Edward H. Stanley and Marie King Stanley.

She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in State Road.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Charles Rice; her son, Casey Shane Morris; four brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by her sons, Keith Edward Rice and wife Jennifer of Taylorsville, William Edward Rice and wife Anna of Jonesville, and Brian Edward Rice of Jonesville; her brothers, Jerry Stanley of Waxahachie, Texas, and Danny Stanley of Calabash, North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Connor Rice, Jacob Rice, Joshua Rice, Reanna Rice (Diego Sanjuan), Rilei Rice, and Samantha Brown and husband DJ.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Dylan Cook officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the humane society of the donor’s choice.
