Kathryn Finney Parks

Mrs. Kathryn Finney Parks, age 71, of Elkin, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, surrounded by her family. Kathryn was born in Surry County on December 24, 1954, to Grady Gambill Finney and Olene Cooper Finney.

Kathryn was very creative and enjoyed crafting, leather and metal work, making jewelry, and painting. She loved her dogs, enjoyed horses, and treasured time spent with her husband and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathryn is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Jimmy Parks; daughter, Kimberly Seipel-Parks and husband, Joe; and grandchildren, Eli Seipel-Parks and Henry Seipel-Parks.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Roaring Gap Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Sam Brittain officiating.
