Kelly Timothy Hinson

Mr. Kelly Timothy "Tim" Hinson, age 78 of State Road, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2025, at his residence.

Tim was born on October 9, 1947, in Surry County to Kelly and Eunice Bullington Hinson. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. He enjoyed golfing, camping, and riding his motorcycle.

In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Hinson, and daughter-in-law, Bayley Hinson, brothers, Terry, Tony, and Rickey, grandson, Nathaniel Hinson, and a sister-in-law, Linda Hodges.

He is survived by his wife Jeanie Hinson of the home, son Jason Hinson and wife Angie of Dobson, sister Robin Steele and husband Mark of Mountain Park, grandchildren Dr. Luke Hinson(Chris) and Hope Hinson (Josh), and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 3:00 PM in the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Stephen Cornett and Rev. Joe Mack Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM at the funeral home. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
