Lucille Jolley Brooks

Mrs. Lucille Jolley Brooks, age 77, of Dobson, passed away Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Dunmore Plantation in Dobson. Mrs. Brooks was born November 2, 1945 in Wilkes County to Bon Jolley and Mildred Moran Jolley.

Mrs. Brooks worked in the winding department at Chatham Manufacturing and was a member of Charity Hill Baptist Church. She was a fun and loving mother and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny Mack Brooks and brother, Richard Jolley. Survivors include: son, Brian Brooks and his wife Shara of Dobson; daughters, Lana Longworth and her husband Terry of Dobson, Cynthia Pendergrass and her husband Neal of Yadkinville; brothers-in-law, Danny Brooks and his wife Betty of State Road, Mickey Brooks and his wife Pat of Siloam; aunt, Wanda Dimmette of Roaring River; eight grandchildren, Clara Brooks, Morgan Brooks, Caleb Doss, Samantha Doss, Samuel Longworth, Aaron Longworth, Eli Pendergrass, and Nathan Pendergrass.

A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Charity Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Cardwell, Bro. Terry Longworth and Bro. Samuel Longworth officiating. Interment will follow in Charity Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at Charity Hill Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dunmore Plantation Activity Department, 515 W. Kapp St, Dobson, NC 27017.
