Martin Junior Andrews, Sr.

Mr. Martin “Marty” Junior Andrews, Sr., age 83, of Traphill passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at his residence.  Mr. Andrews was born January 22, 1940 in Alleghany County to Burean Andrews and Bert Bennett Andrews.  He retired from Vaughn Bassett and owned M&M Lawncare.

Mr. Andrews was a member of Billings Hill Baptist Church.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

In addition to his parents Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Andrews; brothers, J.B. Andrews and Frank Andrews; granddaughter, Melinda Andrews.

Survivors include: sons, Marty Andrews of Traphill, Johnny Andrews and wife Teresa of Dover, DE, Charles Crate of Felton, DE; daughter, Brenda Andrews of Traphill; grandchildren, Nikki Manning, Milton Manning, Savannah Price, Ben Price, Charity Andrews, John Andrews, Brittany Andrews, Josh Andrews, Matthew Morgan, Martin Andrews, Jr., Steven Parker, Grace Parker, C.J. Crate, Crystal Crate; great grandchildren, Brandi Pritchett and BFF Kati Smith, Siera Durham, Jasper Price, Brianna Price, Arianna Price, Takoma Waugh, Olivia Waugh, Isaiah Smith, Ava Andrews, John Andrews, Wesley Manning, Brent Manning, and many more he thought of as his own.

A funeral service will be conducted Friday, June 23, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Billings Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Charlie Bennet and Rev. Danny Royal officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
