Mary Louise Gregory

Mary Louise Gregory was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. Her faith guided her through life and she trusted the Lord in every season. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and her family was her greatest blessing.

No matter what challenges she faced, Louise always remained positive, choosing faith over fear and keeping a smile on her face. Her strength, kindness, and joyful sprit were a blessing to everyone who knew her. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of faith, love, and perseverance that will live on through generations.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace with the Lord she loved so deeply. Her love will remain in their hearts.

Louise, age 85, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Chatham Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on July 14, 1941 in Guilford County to Robert Madison and Mabel Moore Myers.

She was a dedicated member of Shady Grove Baptist Church where she severed as the pianist for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed playing BINGO.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: sons, Wesley Gregory and wife Cindy of Harmony, Kevin Gregory and wife Rebecca of Boonville, and Chris Gregory and wife Ashlee of Hamptonville; daughters, Barbara Blackburn and husband Stefan of North Wilkesboro, Janet Holcomb and husband Mike of Thurmond, and Penny Money and husband Mark of Ronda, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a niece Rebecca Moore.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Pastor David Icenhour officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
