Maybel Louise Carrington Dreyer

Mrs. Maybel Louise Carrington Dreyer, age 88, of Hamptonville, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born on October 26, 1937, in Kent County, Rhode Island, to Fred and Ruth Burgress Carrington.

Mrs. Dreyer was a member of Phoenix Baptist Church in West Warwick, Rhode Island, and a member of the Yadkinville Quilters Guild.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dreyer, Jr.

Survivors include: son, Glenn Capwell, and wife Deborah of Hamptonville; daughter, Debbie Priest, and husband Edward of Lecanto, Florida; grandchildren, Ryan Priest and Matthew Priest; and great-grandchildren, Ella Priest, Harper Priest, and Devarius Priest.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 325, Dobson, North Carolina 27017.

No formal service will be held at this time.
