Michael Wayne Barker

Mr. Michael Wayne Barker, age 63, of Roaring River, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Barker was born March 19, 1960 in Surry County to Harvey Willie Barker and Eva Brooks Barker.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Barker was an avid outdoorsman who loved gardening, hunting, fishing and playing golf.  He was a devoted and loving son.

In addition to his father Mr. Barker was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Barker.

Survivors include:  his mother, Eva Barker of the home; nephew, Ethan Barker and great-nephew, Hunter Barker.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
