Nancy Louise Maxwell

Nancy Louise Winfrey Maxwell, age 87, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Wilkesboro Health and Rehabilitation.

Nancy was born March 25, 1939, in Richmond, Virginia to James Allen and Gazie Blanche Muselman Winfrey.

Nancy was a person who was full of life and had a joyous laugh. She loved country music and dancing. Most of all, her friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Wilford Oswell Maxwell.

Survivors include: two very special and loyal friends Barbara Hiatt and Jenny Lyles.

Barbara and Jenny would like to give special thanks to Mountain Valley Hospice for their love and support while caring for Nancy.
