Norlan Thomas Holcomb

Mr. Nolan Thomas Holcomb, age 77, of Jonesville, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at his residence. He was born on November 23, 1947, in Surry County to the late Robert and Glenda Mae Luffman Holcomb. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Holcomb was a dedicated member and deacon at Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of VFW Post 7794 and was a proud foster parent and auctioneer. In his free time, he enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, and helping people.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Patricia Holcomb; brothers, Irvin and Jerry Holcomb; and a special friend, Dorothy Barr.

Survivors include: his daughter, Renee Michelle Holcomb of Wilkesboro; nephews, Eric, Toby, and Michael Holcomb; niece, Sarah Holcomb; caregiver, Nicole Bart; and adopted granddaughter, Chelsey Prevette.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Welcome Home Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Cheek, Rev. Danny Royal, and Rev. Jackie Caudill officiating. Burial with full military honors provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
