Olin Wade Marshall

Mr. Olin Wade Marshall, age 70, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Olin was born on March 5, 1955, in Surry County to the late John Marshall and Pauline Hayes Marshall.

Olin was a man who deeply loved the outdoors and the simple joys of life. He enjoyed hunting, farming, and spending time with his family. He retired from Sara Lee after many years of dedicated service. His warm heart and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Marshall and Warren Marshall, and his sister, Jeanette Layell.

He is survived by his sister, Janice Marshall; nephews, Michael Marshall and Jonathan Marshall (Tonya); sister-in-law, Jessie Marshall; and his special companion, Otis.

The Marshall family will receive friends on Monday evening, July 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Elkin Funeral Service. 

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mulberry Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Roger Hensley officiating.
