Pauline B Mooney

Mrs. Pauline Baker Mooney, age 87 of State Road, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Mooney was born December 11, 1935 in Surry County to Thomas Marion Baker and Mamie Cheek Baker. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Mooney was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Jerry Mooney;  son-in-law, Oral Ray Jordan, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Survivors include: daughters, Robin Mooney of Kernersville, Dawn Hatcher and husband Mike of Dobson; sisters, Margaret Sneed and husband Herbie of Boonville, Barbara St. John of East Bend; sisters-in-law, Nancy Mooney of State Road, Bonnie Baker of Traphill; grandchildren, LeAndra Marsh-Hettig and husband Matthew, Johnathan Marsh, James Ray Jordan and wife Theresa, Nathan Jordan, Nolan Jordan and wife Carly; great grandchildren, Skylar MaeFahey, Josephine Jordan and Eisley Jordan.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Greg Anderson officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Ste. 101, Mt. Airy, NC  27030.
