Peyton Charles Ray

Peyton Charles Ray, age 18, of Eagle Springs, passed on Tuesday, September 1, 2026. He was born on May 20, 2008, in Elkin, to Charles Howard and Janet Lynn Kimmer Ray III.

Mr. Ray attended Unity Bible Church and recently graduated from Pine Crest High School. He had lots of friends and people who loved him.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Christine Kimmer.

Survivors include: father, Charles Howard Ray, III, and wife, Miranda of Mount Airy; mother, Janet Lynn Ray of Eagle Springs; sisters, Lauren Auguirre of Amsterdam, NY, and Emma Madison Ray of Eagle Springs; maternal grandfathers, Donald Kimmer and Ricky Parks; paternal grandparents, Charles Ray, Jr. and Tammy Antoniou; aunts, Elaina Kimmer, Ashley Mobley, and Olvia Ray; uncles, Justin Kimmer, Garrett Ray, and Michael Ray; niece, Arey Auguirre; nephew, Vincent Yates; K-9 companion, Indie; and many loving cousins and friend.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted on Monday, September 7, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Justin Kimmer officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Elkin Funeral Service.

Flowers will be accepted.
