Phyllis Carolyn Wood Billings

Phyllis Carolyn Wood Billings, age 70, passed away on Sunday, February 15, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist University Medical Center in Winston‑Salem. She was born on May 16, 1955, to Lawrence Calvin Wood and Frances Margaret Poe wood.

Phyllis was a member of Charity Hill Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family, and she will be remembered for the joy she brought to others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Billy Richard Wood, Joey Franklin Wood, and Markeal James Wood.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harvey Dale Billings; her daughter, Maranda Richardson; her step‑daughter, Kathy Jean Billings Anderson; her brothers, Jerry Lee Wood and Marty Calvin Wood and his wife Kelly; her sisters, Janice Elaine Martin and her husband Carl, Ruby Margaret Sullivan and her husband Barney, and Rosa Marie Letasz and her husband Bob. She is also survived by her grandchildren, McKensie Renee Richardson, Bailey Mae Richardson, and Bentley Mason Billings; her special niece, Belinda Souther; and several other nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, at 2:00 PM, at Knobbs Baptist Church, with Rev. Keith Wood and Rev. Brian Cardwell officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.
