Mr. Ronald James Collins, age 75, of Elkin, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Collins was born June 15, 1950, in Surry County to Harold James and Angelene Holcomb Collins.
He enjoyed working in the yard, tinkering with cars and watching NASCAR.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: wife Debbie Simmons Collins of the home; daughters, Nicole Collins Pearson-Tomcsanyi and husband Shawn of Hampstead and Heather Collins Swain and husband Cory of State Road; one grandchild, Emery Pearson.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Crestwood Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Newell Hauser officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the graveside service at Elkin Funeral Service.
The family would like to thank EMS and the Fire Department for their services.
