Mrs. Rosa Marie Cloninger Lunsford, age 84, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Hugh Chatham Health in Elkin.
Mrs. Lunsford was born April 23, 1939 in Guilford County, NC to Allen Cloninger and Nellie Tedder Cloninger and was raised by her aunt and uncle Everett Tedder and Nannie Bell Tedder. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Lunsford was an avid dog and cat lover.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Lunsford was preceded in death by husbands, Charles Dempsey, Sr. and Melvin Lunsford.
Survivors include: her children, Caroline Dempsey of Clarksville, VA; Marilyn Jones of Red Oak, VA; Charles Dempsey, Jr. of Cameron, NC and Deidre Lunsford of Jonesville, NC; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
At. Mrs. Lunsford request there will be no formal service.
