Scott Dale Hinson

Mr. Scott Dale Hinson, age 77, of State Road, passed away August 16, 2026 at Woltz Hospice Home. Scott was born June 24, 1949 in Surry County, to Esker and Margaret Carter Hinson.

Scott was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family, farming and growing strawberries. Scott loved baseball and still played in adult leagues.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his daughters, April Bauguess and husband Jason of Traphill and Dawn Settle; grandchildren. Colby Bauguess and wife Rose, Maison Bauguess, Kaydence Hinson,Cierra Hinson and Dakota Settle; great-grandchildren, Atlas Bauguess and Liam Delaney.
