Tammy Burton Hemric

Tammy Sue Burton Hemric, age 56, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Tammy was born May 18, 1968, in Winston-Salem to Roy Thomas and Hester Hodges Burton.

Tammy loved animals and spending time with family, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary and Troy Burton.  

Survivors include her husband, Bobby Hemric of the home, son, Stephan Hemric, daughters, Jessica Hemric and Katherine Brown, brother, Randy Burton, sister, Sandra Burton, grandchildren, Bentley, Mavrick, and Kinsley Brown, and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday night, May 5, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Elkin Funeral Service.

Flowers will be accepted, and memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27018, American Cancer Society, or the ASPCA.

The family would like to thank Hugh Chatham Hospital, Baptist Hospital Cancer Center, and Mountain Valley Hospice for their help during this time.
