Terry Wayne Matthews Jr.

Mr. Terry Wayne Matthews Jr., age 42, of Jonesville, passed away on April 9, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Mr. Matthews was born on April 23, 1983 in Elkin to Terry Wayne Sr. and Scharlotte Waller Matthews.

Mr. Matthews enjoyed fishing and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include: his father, Terry Wayne Matthews Sr. of the home and a half-brother, Rod Burnette of Galax, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Elkin Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Gary Anderson officating. Burial will follow at the Beulah Land Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at Elkin Funeral Service.
