Velda Reynolds Martin

Velda Reynolds Martin, age 90, of Jonesville, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Pruitt Healthcare in Elkin. She was born in Surry County on April 22, 1936, to William Rufus and Stella Ann Johnson Reynolds.

Velda was a member of Little Elkin Baptist Church and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Leona Burcham and Vesta Martin; her brothers, Ed Reynolds, Howard Reynolds, R.J. Reynolds, Joe Bill Reynolds, Kenneth Reynolds, Paul Reynolds, and Richard Reynolds; and her grandson, Barrett Eller.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy L. Martin; her daughter, Darlene Martin Eller and husband James; and several loving nieces and nephews.
